After revolutionizing chair design in the 1960s with his iconic Ball Chair, Professor Eero Aarnio set out to create a new, modern version of the rocking chair. The initial sketches emerged in the 1980s, and after decades of refinement, the chair was launched in its current form as part of the Studio Eero Aarnio collection in 2004.
